This official-looking chap is an Eagle Owl, one of the largest owls. I have had the pleasure of meeting at flying these beautiful owls at our local owl rescue centre and they are a tremendous size, almost as big as an eagle, though surprisingly lightweight. I love the plumage markings, the quizzical eyebrows and the tufty ears!
